Today, Patrick Seessle, the Flagship Project Coordinator of FP5-TRANS4M-R, presented the paper “Digital Automatic Coupling as an Enabler for Rail Freight Innovations” at the Transport Research Arena 2024 in Dublin. In this paper the DAC and its components are described and how the DAC capabilities enable new functions that are highly innovative in the field of Rail Freight.

The paper was written by DB Cargo colleagues Patrick Seessle, Daniel Wolfram, Andreas Haller, Florian Einsele, Victoria Jäger and Simon Funke.
